If anybody in the NASCAR community knows the pain suffered from watching a loved one fight a losing battle againts cancer, it's Lori Hamilton, widowed wife of former NASCAR Cup and Nationwide driver, and 2004 Truck Series Champion Bobby Hamilton.
Now, she's encouraging fans visiting Atlanta Motor Speedway this coming weekend to get screened. Lori Hamilton urges fans to attend free oral, head and neck cancer screenings on Saturday and Sunday from 9-1:30 prior to the green flag for the truck and Cup races. The screening will be conducted by medical professionals from the Georgia Chapter of the Head and Neck Cancer Alliance (HNCA]. Screenings will be performed in the vendor area of the track.
